For a New Year's post, this is a little late in coming. But, in my own defense, I was in Durham visiting some friends for the weekend. I actually got to welcome in New Year's day with the start of a cold. Talk about no fun. (But I'm much better now, just to let you know =) Anywhoo, I have made a few traditional resolutions and thought of ways to accomplish them.
Resolution 1: To draw closer to Christ
How: Through DAILY prayer, devotions, attending a weekly Bible study throughout the entire year, and reading literature that will challenge and grow my faith.
Resolution 2:(a) To sew more and (b) to gain more sewing knowledge
How: (a) By devoting certain amounts of time to sewing and not allow distractions to interrupt that time.
(b) By attending seminars, workshops, and lectures that will enable me to expand my sewing skills and learn new techniques. Also, to work on projects (whether designed by myself or through advanced level patterns)that will challenge my sewing skills.
Resolution 3: To live a more healthy lifestyle
How: By exercising daily, eating less sugars and carbs, and eating more fruits and veggies
I didn't just make these resolutions up willy-nilly to make myself feel good. These are three areas that I have been needing to work on. So, with the start of a new year I'm hoping to make some major changes in my life. We'll see how my resolutions do throughout the rest of 2012!
