Clean, purge and organize!

Momma sprung up her plan of cleaning out the attic on my brothers and I about three days ago. To be honest, I didn't think she would actually remember or follow through. Oh, how wrong I was. Momma came and rolled us all out of bed at 8 o'clock sharp and the cleaning frenzy commenced. Jake and I took the trash to the dump (for all you city people, we not only have to take our trash to the trash cans, we have to then take the full trash cans to the local dump to get rid of the trash, hauled away the Christmas tree, and burnt off a bunch of yard debris.

Then the fun really started....

Momma cracked open the attic and began tossing boxes and stuff down to Jake and I. We started sorting and going through boxes of our things. Mostly, they were things from our childhood that we eventually outgrew and Christmas stuff. Momma is currently in the process of sorting out what needs to be saved and what needs to go. And oh Lordy day.... There is a LOT that needs to go.

This is definitely going to be an all day job, but at least we are getting rid of a ton of stuff we really don't need.
