Let me tell you a story....
When we lived on Fort Bragg, we we close with two other families that lived on our street. Mrs. Kim's family was one of them. While the moms would walk around the soccer track, we kids would find all sorts of trouble to get in to. We grilled out together, the moms had scrapbook days, Mrs. Kim and Mrs. Kelly helped coordinate Fuzz's birthday to make it a success. Needless to say, a lifelong friendship grew. As with the Army, we all moved our separate ways, yet still keeping in touch. Around December, Momma got a call from Mrs. Kim. She had gone to the doctor and they found cancerous tumors all over her body. A month later, the doctors discovered it was soft tissue sarcoma and radical treatment was taken. To make a long story short, the tumors were shrank but came back twice as strong. This time her body was too weak to fight and take treatment. Momma went down a few days before Mrs. Kim passed, to visit with her one last time.

Updates and Life Changes....
In the three months since I last posted, life has changed drastically for me. Some for the good, others not so much.
The good!
First, I graduated from my community college. Yeah, go me!
Second, I have been traveling non-stop! First I went to Missouri to visit my best friends from high school, Roni and Jenny. We hadn't been together as a trio in almost four years. It was like we never left off....

DIY: Lace Shorts
I had an old pair of jeans that were oil stained that I was going to turn into shorts for this summer. I didn't want the same old cut off look (I have a ton of cut off's already) So I decided to add some lace to the hem. I am on a huge lace kick right now! It is so dainty and quite darling.

Spring Break Part 2: Sunset Beach
After Jake and my trip to Liberty, I came home for about a day then left again for a wedding down at Sunset Beach. One of the girls I run the media booth at church with, Destiny, rented a bed and breakfast and made a weekend out of it.
The place was called the Rose. It is run by an older couple, Mrs. Nancy and her husband Mr. Warren. Oh. My. Stars. This place was phenomenal! The room were very cozy and it felt like you were at home. There were fresh baked treats out everyday and the breakfasts were to die for! As a foodie, I love any food, but not usually breakfast foods. I ordered an omelet with two cheeses, ham, mushrooms, maters and peppers with a side of hashbrowns. There was so much food on that plate, I actually had to turn it away! The omelet was made with three eggs, it was so light and fluffy. And the hashbrowns were made with real, fresh potatoes! And that wasn't even half of the food we were served! The first course was coffee cake (always a winner with this girl!) and then grilled pineapple sprinkled in cinnamon. I was so stuffed after all that, I didn't eat hardly anything till the reception.
